it was just

to do
something to
shuffle up the
empty hours
and make them
shine

all I wanted was my own
space and if any one
thing will get you
space it is drink

though other
drinkers will come
and fill you up as
you fill them up

but at this point
I will not either
condemn it or
demonize it
or preach
against it

it's
like a roller coaster
baby
no matter how
they dress it up
it's the same old
ride and
you can only
swallow it so
many
times

cause it's over
quick
and you've got to
get back in line
to ride again

or find something
else to do
